Should you buy?

This fund takes a differentiated approach compared to most peers, taking sizeable exposure to mid-caps. The fund runs a highly diversified portfolio yet retains large positions in its top bets. Its track record over 5 year time frames is impressive, having beaten its index 100% of the times in last 7 years. It has a healthy run rate over 3 year time horizons as well. Its downside performance is particularly noteworthy, capturing only 80% and 89% of the index declines over 3 and 5 years, respectively. This has been supplemented by a higher upside capture to deliver well-rounded performance across market phases. Investors comfortable with heavy midcap presence may find it a worthy pick.
